Grant Nicholas of Feeder’s Gretsch guitar
A rare Gretsch Spectra Sonic Baritone guitar used by Grant Nicholas on the ‘Renegades’ album by Feeder. The guitar comes with the original hard case and a certificate. Grant says
“Here is my Gretsch Spectra Sonic Baritone guitar I got from Fender some years back. Gretsch was connected with Fender so that’s how I was able to source one. As you know I’m well known for playing a Fender Jazzmaster, but I liked the look and sound of the Gretsch Spectra Sonic and wanted something unusual. I have used it a bit for recording over the years and it’s quite an interesting guitar, somewhere between a bass and electric guitar with a nice round bottom end and punch. It comes loaded with TV Jones pickups. It was used on some of the Feeder ‘Renegades’ album and also on some bonus tracks. I hope it goes to a good home and I will miss it. There were not that many made if I remember correctly. Enjoy and hope it raises some money for a such a worthy cause.”
As you can see in the pictures, the baritone comes complete with certificate, documentation and original hard case as supplied from the manufacturer. Grant has signed the back of the guitar for even more kudos.
